Unhappy Oh What Is The Bloody Point?

Before I start I want to point out that this is NOT about AEBN it is about sales. The reason I mention AEBN is that what I am about to say is sparked by a website I have that just promotes their sites, but I'm guessing that whatever multi niche sponsor I had used would have given the same results.

Many years ago I bought an expired domain with the idea of developing a video TGP on it and using the existing traffic on it as a starter boost. Because it would be a few days before I got round to the site, I put up a holding page, which was just a pile of links to AEBN websites and a counter to count the hits. When I found the time to look at it, I found it was getting less than 10 hits a day, well under what I had been hoping for, and as I had other projects going I left it for a bit. I put a few (not many) links to the page on some of my lesser other sites, simply so Google would continue to see it as a linked site, even if the existing linkers realised the domain had changed, and removed their links.

I put the domain on auto renew and then I forgot about it. It has been sitting there for at least ten years unchanged, and uncared for. It looks like what it is, a basic holding page with a few links on it.

Take a look at it here: http://bluetheater.com/

By then I had worked out that 90% of my earnings came from bondage sites, despite bondage sites making up less than 5% of my portfolio, so had begun specialising in bondage sites. Many of those sites have AEBN ads on them, dozens of sites (possibly as many as a hundred) with, between them, hundreds of pages with ads for AEBN's bondage videos. Plus several TGP's and blogs with AEBN bondage galleries on them.

Over the past few weeks I have been adding adverts for specific films to my sites, and I just went to my AEBN stats page to see if this is working as a strategy. I found something more frightening:

The AEBN site bondagepayperview.com, where 90% of the traffic I direct at them is sent, is only the 6th highest rank in my "Click Thru By Website" stats. Three of the five above it have minimal ads on my sites. And the remaining two (which are the highest scoring by far) only have links from http://bluetheater.com/ and nowhere else!

What this means is: I have spent tens of thousands of hours creating and updating bondage websites (freesites/blogs/TGPs/etc) and combined, they have made less AEBN sales than one shitty holding page that probably took me less than an hour to create, and has never been touched since!

AEBN wise, I would have been better spending a second hour building a second holding page, then fucking off on holiday for the last ten years.

So why the fuck am I still working at this shit??????????????????????????????

I tell you, the day I can afford to give this up and switch over to movie production cannot come soon enough!
