Since it is a term started by teens I would say mid - late 30's the youngest, I laugh when I see 19 yr olds being called a MILF, yes if they have a kid they COULD be called that, but the "spirit" of the word was intended for a mother of a high school student.

Now it's teen> amateur > MILF > older > mature > dead

basically girls use to be teen until it was too obvious. Then there were just genericly amateur until they were obviously mature, then it just sort of went on from there. Adding MILF helps to break it up a bit, and I have started to notice more and more people doing splits between "older" and "grannies", older being probably 50 - 65 and grannies being everything after that.

This probably should come under the study of anthropology.. but..

The average age of 1st time mothers in the US is now 25.3, rising from 23.8 in the 1990's..therefore in order to have a child the age to NOTICE that it would be a MILF.. would be at least 15 putting the MILF in question at age 40.
