Ironical Christy just bought Micro$oft Office for Mac due to needing correct formatting with her Windows Office users. It's actually a very nice version.

Personally I use NeoOffice or iWork but if you need perfect formatting with Word, Excel or Powerpoint users then you have to use Microsoft's Office.

I also use Open Office as I refuse to install MS Office. I have clients that use Word and Excel, and Open Office deals with both seamlessly (back and forth).

I have never understood why people buy Word. I use it occasionally when I am on other people's computers and they have it installed, but I am too mean to pay for it myself, and I find nothing on Word (that is actually useful) that I haven't seen on the various free WPs I have used.

I have never understood why people buy Porn. I use paid for Porn occasionally when I am on other people's computers and they have it installed, but I am too mean to pay for it myself, and I find nothing on Porn paysites (that is actually useful) that I haven't seen on the various free Porn sites I have used.

Kind of a reminder that if we don't offer things that are both different from and better than what surfers can easily find elsewhere for free, we really should expect that same response.

One reason that I often hear way people buy Office is the huge amount of clipart that it comes with or in Simon's example every niche from exploding dwarfs to soft beautiful young babes.

Yeah, but I hope that none of us are producing porn that is as bad as most Microsoft software!
