Good Day

Nothing really new here other than working on the house and biz.

I've put off a bunch of house repairs plus some remodeling (nothing to major) for far too long. Like our bathroom which has been 3/4 done for 4 years now just for starts. Can only put in 3-4 hours in before the back starts telling me to stop then take a day off and try again. So it will be slow going but better than not.

Got a bargain load of toilet paper, 36 rolls for £5. Problem is, the same shop was also doing cheap sugar free chocolate, so I got a load of that too. Unfortunately the sweetener they use in sugar free chocolate has an unfortunate effect on my digestive system, and now those 36 rolls of toilet paper may not last me the weekend!

Spent the evening watching celebrities trying to rid themselves of childhood demons on TV.

First off Jack Whitehall (English comedian/actor) was doing a stand up routine about how you can get revenge on the "Mr Perfect" who ruined your life at school by being so much better and more popular than you, by going onto their Facebook page and seeing what kind of looser they grew up to be. Then he went on to say that he could not do this, because the "Mr Perfect" that he sat next to at school, and who got all the best roles (the roles he wanted) in drama class was Robert Pattinson (now among the highest paid and most bankable actors in Hollywood, one of TIME magazine's 100 Most Influential People in The World, and one of the most powerful celebrities in the world in the Forbes Celebrity 100).

Then I saw Peter Capaldi interviewed by Graham Norton. He had more luck excising his childhood demons. When Norton started reading letters between the BBC and the head of the Dr Who fan club from the late 1960's/early 1970's he read one from the woman responsible for liaising between the BBC and Dr Who fans that talked about what a nuisance Peter Capaldi was to her with his letters, ending "I wish someone would exterminate him!".

Peter Capaldi's response was "Yeah, and where is she now? And I'm Dr Who!"
