Saturday The 13th (aka I'm Back To Normal...I Think)

Morning!

Feeling a lot better today after actually remembering to take my meds I have no clue why I forgot to take them Thursday & didn't remember until about Noon yesterday, but boy did I miss them

The Bitch & I started watching Season 3 of Orange Is The New Black yesterday. There was a 2 or 3 "previously on..." before the the 1st episode. I know I watched Season 2, but fuck me if I can remember ANY of it 3 episodes in & so far, so good!

She's still sleeping, so I'm gonna work til she gets up, as she's already stated that she'll be cleaning the house, which means loud 80's music throughout the ground floor. Perfect time for me to nap Then more binge watching, maybe another nap, and trying to stay awake for

My Air BnB guest finally arrived at 3:45 this morning. Let her in and went right back to bed.

I have to help my neighbor across the street load a couch and two chairs into a truck so that she can tale them over to a consignment shop.

Other than that I may try going for a bike ride. It's hot as hell out already and my leg is still not great so that's a bit iffy.

Other than that just going to do a bit of work ad probably start watching the new season of Orange.

Good Morning

Still not feeling great, but better than yesterday, and I was really hoping this was a 48 hr bug since I have family to pick up at the airport tomorrow. I also have to take them to D-land on tuesday so I sure hope this is completely gone by then.

I believe today is the day I trade in my NoPhone2000 (that's the year I got rid of my last cell phone) and become one of the normal peoples.

I decided not to binge on Orange because I was still a bit loopy and with family showing up that I need to entertain it would bother me if I could not finish it in a few days so I'm waiting until they leave. But I did watch some more Shameless

Bloody trains!

Bloody fucking useless train companies.

KILL THEM ALL!

(As you might have guessed I am not entirely happy with the Rail companies today.)

Got to my station and found that engineering works not only meant that trains were not going to where I wanted to go, but they were also not going to where I could change to another route that would get me to my destination. Spoke to a member of rail staff who said "Get a London Bridge Train and change at Peckham Rye Station" I have done this before, so know the route, but had not wanted to use it as it adds three quarters of an hour to the journey, but I had no choice, so I got on a train to Peckham Rye Station.

Got off at Peckham Rye Station, the timetable showed considerable delays to the trains going to where I wanted to go. So I waited.

And waited, and waited, and waited.

After a long while I looked at the indicator boards again and noticed that there were now no trains listed to my destination. I eventually located a member of staff to ask, he told me that there were no train to my destination today. When I told him I had been told by rail staff that I should change there he simply said "Find a different route."

I did, and finally got to my destination (several hours late and paying four times as much to travel via three different rail services - mainline, subway, and elevated). Thought my troubles were over. Fool!

I had the sense to check the services going home at the station about an hour before I left for home. I was told that all services were running normally. Then I got to the station and went down on the platform. Here I found there were still no trains back home (turned out the staff had lied to me, there engineering works had not ended when they told me that they were back to a "normal service", they were due to go on all day). However they were running trains to my normal "alternative changing point", so I went there. When I got there I found that now there were no trains from that station to home. Not a disaster, from there I can get to a different station within walking distance of home. Waited on the platform for the train to come in. With no warning it came in on a different platform, and did not wait for passengers to get across to the new platform before leaving. So I missed it. Again my journey took a lot longer than it should (although this time only an hour longer). Plus, since the station I came in on was in a different "zone" to the one I intended to use, I had to pay a higher fair again.

I find your love of Shameless ironic: In the new crime series by the same author they use the formula of "a different crime story each week but with a continual story line about a psychopathic killer that runs through the entire season". We do not know who the psychopath is, but following the clues, I think it is YOU! The reason I have come to this conclusion is that the only real information we have of the killer is that he has a picture of a cat in a bow tie!
