Thursday 2023-02-23 aka Ice & Bandwidth
Morning!
 We had an ice storm last night. There's about 1 cm of ice on EVERYTHING! The power has been out since around Midnight, but we have the backup generator, so life is basically normal inside this house, except my step-daughter was supposed to fly out to LA on vacation this morning, but fights are all delayed, so she's here with the dogs  Verizon upgraded my internet. Are these good speeds?  Worky Work Busy Bee! |

 Dont know man. That sounds fast. Stay warm. I hear you guys and the UK about to get the snowstorms from hell. We passed them on to you I guess. Last week was like a stepmother's kiss all week long.

Morning.
 I had to check ... Download Speed 357.70 Mbps Upload Speed 160.14 Mbps Latency (ping) 5 ms That's Bell FIBE Gigabit service. There are 4 of us here during the day so we need it. Today is another half day of taking my BIL places. He is getting better. The question now is will the cure kill him? The drugs he is on cause stroke, heart attack and kidney failure if not properly monitored. He's not great at taking pills when he supposed to or generally taking care of himself. His latest drug, Aranesp,costs $7,000 for a two month treatment! It can only be dispensed at the hospital pharmacy (and it's Canada so there is no charge to him). Other than that, I have to squeeze a day's work with less hours in the day. Battlebots on TV tonight. That's something worth looking forward to. Cheers!  Yesterday cable/internet was restored about around lunch time so that was fortunate as I really did not need it until then. Though that tree was still block one of the roads leading to my house. Quote:

 Nothing new, work work work then maybe some after work  That's pretty good I had Bell regular and was getting 90 down, 10 up and it was "manageable" for work without issue. Almost 300 down and 90 up, very good!But NOW, my internet is fast AF  Like Art, I now have Bell Fibre as of a few months ago  DOWNLOAD Mbps 453.05 (it's usually double that) UPLOAD Mbps 910.78 Stuff uploads FAST. I used to have to start an upload before going to make coffee or lunch so it would finish as it took 30 minutes or more. Now they upload in like 2 minutes |
