I need a site critiqued

I was denied a listing for a blind link. I cannot locate one any where.
Would somebody take a look and tell me where it is?

Dollpix first off I think you need to really start reading then Link List rules. You keep making mistakes that are plainly listed in the rules your two galleries both have what some would call blind links you watch movie here button leads to the pay site page not a movie hence a blind link. Also on you index page your link to http://www.freesitexxx.com/ says Free XXX not free site XXX so thats blind and the warning text you seem to use over and over makes all you sites look alike as soon as the reviewer sees them.

OK, I changed the Warning on the index page for tomorrow
and now I understand how the "Watch Movie Here" button
is/can be a blind link.

The rules have really changed over the years.

I was advised to look at sites that were listed, then criticized
for looking at sites that were listed. I asked for help on another
board under the "Help" section and I was criticized for asking for
help......

But, I shan't give up!

I appreciate your advise! It's the only way I'm going to learn!

Advise is given in many threads on this board as well as lots of help. But the key is to follow it. Like where you told Tekster that it was a new template when its clearly not. Just take heed and learn and for making free sites this is the place.

Both 'Free XXX' http://www.freesitexxx.com/ and "XXX Sex" http://www.passion-for-porn.com/ recips are blind.When building custom recips ALWAYS make sure the name of the site is in the text you link to.I know you most likely just copied the text from their provided recips but it's still considered blind.


Come to think of it,this threads title 'I need a site critiqued' is also a bit blind considering all you want is help spotting the blind links.

I got a great way to not only stop wasting Greenie's,MrMaryLou's and your time but also learn how to build free sites the correct way so your sites get listed.

Why is it that some adult webmasters (outside of link lists) make the whole free site thing SUCH a big complicated deal?

"Oh dude,theres a million rules to follow...it's impossible to get listed..Theres only so much time in a day.....2 whole galleries...blah blah blah"

Is following a standard set of rules and guidelines THAT hard?

been listed.... I swear some of these webmasters change
their sites after they are listed...
I wish I had never looked at any of them. Never again!

Blind links to me, are different than they are today. But,
I'm getting it figured out, I think.

Yeah,it's really basic stuff.Once you built 3 or 4 sites you'll be following the rules without even trying.

Just be sure to accurately and honestly describe your links and let the surfer know exactly where he/she is going to go if they click it.
For example,say you want to link to pornsitex.com...

These are blind links:

There is no law in regards to warning pages, but ASACP & RTA ask us to use one as a "good faith effort" to keep those that do not want adult material or those not old enough for it out of the site.

I like the idea of a real warning page too, but I feel I am putting myself at a disadvantage it I use one. People will just go to the next site it they don't see porn immediately.

Yeah- this is a tough one isn't it... I agree with what UW said on another thread that it will actually be the porn industry demanding that there be laws requiring warning pages and memberships! The tubesites have made it so you pretty much have to have something on that first page.... MySpace has made it so we must all offer something straight up front. It's ridiculous. Anyway, as far as the freesites go, (this is for Dollpix) the surfers going to the link lists seem to understand the format so I don't think it's an issue. Now this is from one newbie to another. You probably actually know much more about the industry than I do but I'll just give you my newb advice. I was so confused about the structure and format of a freesite. Like you, I would look at what was out there and it didn't seem to jive with what I was being told. In addition, my crappy non-freesite formatted pages were actually being accepted on some sites which just confused me even further. But thanks to some very patient people on this board, I finally figured it out

I really recommend doing what I did which is to go as simple simple simple as possible. Many of the freesites that seem to push the rules boundary etc, could very well be long-term submitters who have earned 'exceptions' from certain sites, etc. I don't know but it doesn't really matter what they do. It only matters what we as newbies must do to get listed. Remember, we are the lowest on the totem pole so like anything else, we just have to do what we have to do to earn spot.

So I offer you the basic freesite formula I'm currently following and it may seem too simple or even insulting to your intellect heh But it's what I had to do to get past my confusion:

1. Warning Page with:
a:Header (freesite name w/ description)
b:One banner or ad that is not explicit.
c: your list of recips
d: your warning text
e: your enter button (linking to your main freesite page)
f: your 2257

2. Main page
a: Header again
b: another banner or ad of some sort
c: your gallery entrance buttons (gallery one gallery two, etc)
you can put brief descriptions of each gallery or tm's
d: one more ad if you so desire

3. & 4. Your Gallery Pages
a. These are pretty straight forward. This is obviously where your content goes, either pics or movies. And it appears that most sites do not want you putting anymore than two links to sponsors on this page. I just put one. Also, most sites have pretty standard requirements for the movie clips. Most want a minimum of 20 second clips with no less than 3 clips per gallery. And no long trailer intros at the beginning or end of the clips. I have a sponsor who does that and I hate it because no one wants to see that. They're only hurting themselves with that crap. So just go by the rule of how much content is actually visible. If it's 8 seconds of content and 12 seconds of flash logos scrolling in and out, then it's not okay. I'm very new to this world but not new to the game of marketing and I've never in my career had a focus group go, 'gee, seeing all those flashing banners and swirling logos really made me want the product!' Nope. The product sells the product. Don't try to trick the consumer. It only pisses them off. (not saying you are.... just speaking in generalities)

Just build what you would want to look at within the context of the rules-

So-not sure what it's worth but that's my newbie advice. Hope at least some of it was helpful

Most sites? I've been building free sites for seven years and have never run into that. If I did back in the day they didn't get on my submit list. In the rules at the 65+ link lists I submit to (27 of the "big boys" and most from here at the board) it says no more than three outgoing sponor links/page. I only get about 5% of my sales from gallery pages but if I'm allowed three/page, that's what I'm putting on my pages.

It's probably easier for you since you've been doing it for so long. If there is one site that has a specific rule, then you're probably familiar. For me, I'm so new and was kind of all over the map in my understanding so my advice to Dollpix was to just go uber-simple at first as this approach is helping me. Maybe I wasn't clear but basically, my approach is to start with nothing and then slowly add to it once submitting becomes normal and comfortable with few mistakes. It doesn't really matter how many ads or links are on my freesite if no one is accepting them That's really my only point. Dollpix has been struggling with getting her new freesites accepted as was I, so I thought starting out basic was an effective approach but I'm sure it's not the only or best one... just mine

There's blindlinks like the others have noted and your 2257 link is missing from the warning page.

Your warning text take up a lot space. If I were you, I'd put that in scrolling textarea at about 50-75% width of the page. It's really a huge boring chunk of text that no on is going to read, so toss it all in a textarea box put a bold warning above it, such as CAUTION: ADULT CONTENT.

You're currently only using one of your three links out on your warning page. Add one above your enter link and one below. Also, one of the things I liked to do back when I would have an exit link is to use a smaller font-size on it than the enter link. It helps, in a minor way, to lead your surfer through the site.

Also, I don't know if AEBN gives you the opportunity to use deep links, but if they do, I'd link directly to some other internal page than the site's warning page. You're sending a surfer from one adult site to another, so there's no good reason to warn them about adult content again. You won't make a sale on AEBN's warning page. (BTW, if you look at their warning page, you'll see what I mean about shrinking down that exit link.)

I have left it off and got listed. Some list are strict about having it, others consider it optional. Having said that, it is a common practice. Practically 100% of the sites submitted to my list have it. There are some legalities involved primarily if you are in the USA.... and you have to cover your ass, although an attorney would be the one to advise on that.
