New Bird Species I Discovered Last Night

I have a few hummingbird feeders hanging off the beams on my front porch as I like the peace of watching the little birds - although last night I found a new species out there - Ive named it the Gopherus Snakius bird
Real nice markings on it

I would imagine that like turkeys taking Gopherus Snakius bird up in an airplane and throwing them out to fly would not end well.

Turkeys would surprise you Cleo. When we lived in our other home, we had about 50 Turkeys running around about this time of year. When they were startled, I watched them fly about 400 yards to the tops of trees. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself.

That's a real beauty. Must have recently shed.

Torn - about 2 and 1/2 inches across - about as big as they get - as they only live for one year just like most spiders

Chop - I cant believe that you posted my hanging reindeer display

Actually - its a real pain to redo that one set of lights and unless some idiot photographs them you can never see them

Very cool critters Linkster

It's one of the things I love about this place is all of natures friends that cruise the area. Sometimes they eat each other, but that's all part of the big picture. So, I give em their space and leave them be...unless they're in the house...then they're toast

The closest thing to wildlife in my area is some guy who wanders the streets at night, nearly naked so he can yell at the street lights.
