Wednesday The 8th (aka Your Taxes Are Due In A Week!)

Morning!

Speaking of taxes, all I know is that if my Fed return doesn't come in during the next week, NYS is gonna be pissed at me

Woke up feeling pretty good once again, but that only lasted about 3 hours yesterday, so I'm not exactly hopeful as far as working past 10 AM before I need a nap. My

doctor is sending me for bloodwork to see if it's my thyroid that's causing the constant midday exhaustion. Either way, it's gonna be more meds for me

We watched A Most Violent Year on PPV yesterday & I still have no idea if I liked it or not

I mean, it was interesting, yet slow. The one thing I did kinda like about it was that it looked like it was shot in 1981, which is when this story takes place. I don't know if I'd recommended it or not.

Also watched Cropsey on Netflix, which was a very interesting look into missing kids on Staten Island in the 80's & the tiein to the Willowbrook mental hospital that Giraldo reported on.

Time to work a little more I guess

Good morning. Huge win last night for my team to stay alive in the NHL playoff race. Usual day for me sorting content I found, uploading, editing and the like. Need to do some submits as well, busy day. Will need more coffee...

Taxes... I have a huge payment coming out of my checking account on the 15th the day after a property tax debit is coming out of my account. I may be eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the next month.

My business lunch went well yesterday. It was nice to finally put a face to the man that I've been doing the Mercedes work for.

Just another thrilling day of ding pretty much the same thing that I do every day. :-/

Good Morning

Well I'm not doing taxes until the 14th because I like to do it all in one shot including payment and I have a feeling we owe a few.

Spent nearly 4 hours at dmv just to get an eye test and new pic. Thankfully I took the ipad and played games the whole time. Best thing I heard in the dmv: Mom, Mom, Mom...the cops are outside...Are you in trouble again?

Need to do a bunch work plus run errands and do chores around the house today as we leave for Vegas tomorrow. Have a house guest staying to watch the cat and need to make sure there is plenty of food here for the cat and guest.

After dmv I wathced Horns on netflix which I found to be quite good

Better get to it all, have a good one!

You felt good for 3 whole hours? There are days when I wish I knew what 3 hours of feeling good felt like, and as it happens today is one of those days.

But I'm ordering my mind to "be in a good mood" anyway. And my mind knows better than to argue with me, or I'll force it to think about Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day, over and over.

It hates when I do that.

Re-used a script which runs fine on one site, on a second site and kept getting 403 Forbidden when I ran it. Since it was fine on the other site I contacted the host to tell them the server was fucked and they spent much of the day trying to find the fault.

Turns out it was my fucking fault. When I copied the script I forgot to change the route to a file to suit the new URL, so it was trying to redirect to a non-existent page in a protected folder.

Red face at this end, and a grovelling apology email on the way to the hosting company.

And to all of you fretting over your taxes - at the moment I love tax, it is the best thing in the whole wide world. It is a long story, and you have to know the British tax law to understand it, so I won't bore you with the whole thing, but thanks to my father trying to pay less tax, he ran a "thingy" ("thingy" being the technical name for anything I don't understand, eg complicated tax arrangements), and as a result I have ended up with enough money in the bank to finance my first short movie!

Hollywood here I come.

Or at least Pinewood!
