Wednesday January 6th (Screw This Polar Plunge Weather)
Morning!
One of our dumb local TV stations weather dept. decided to post this with the caption "Here's that 'Polar Plunge' that's heading our way next week..." I think we all know that a "polar plunge" is when a group of local idiots meet up at their favorite lake or pond once the temp gets below 32°F & decide to strip down to their undies & go for a dip ...and before you ask, I have no idea why that angers me Started watching Amadeus on Netflix last night. No idea why I've never seen it, seeing as it won so many awards in 84. Maybe the 3 hour length put me off? Working now... |

I had to put socks on yesterday and wear sneakers. The horror of the cold!
It's in the sixties here today and it's raining. Good day to stay indoors and work. Just added Amadeus on Netflix to my list. |

Good Morning
Expecting more rain today thou the temps are a bit warmer than they had been. Thou I must say that graphic with LA at 38F is not something I look forward to. Then again I really don't have to leave the house much. Amadeus already added to my queue because I have not seen it in decades. I really enjoyed it when it came out so it should be interesting to see it again. |

We have had quite a warm winter. Alright, it has been cold, but not anywhere near as cold as it should be. I don't think it has gone below freezing in the south of England at all this year, and that is unusual - much of December and January is usually well below freezing. I thought it was to make up for the fact that we had a cold (and wet) summer, but going by G's map. I guess it is because you have stolen all our cold.
I don't mind, you are welcome to it. In fact, if you like, you can have some of our rain and our flooding too! Last edited by ecchi; 2016-01-06 at 02:09 PM.. Reason: Added snowman. |

Help yourself to all you want. Buyer collects though, I'm afraid we don't do delivery.
An example of how much rain we are having: This morning on the radio the figures were in for last weeks rainfall. Some areas of Britain can already claim this as the wettest January on record, and we are only one week into the month. In one week, some parts of the island have had more rain that they have EVER had in the entire month! And January is normally a wet month anyway! So if anyone is thinking of coming here for a visit, you should probably first try to evolve gills and flippers. & have no |
