While the storm has been on the horizon for some time it looks like lightening is striking more and more on the AVS/AEN front.

Among the ever growing list we can now add:

XPass is closed...
MassPass has been off for awhile...
SexKey is apparently gone ...

Universal Pass and Age Rated are offline (could just be server issue or ??)

I dropped two other well known AEN because site reviewers started declining basic sites for templates even though it was only the second use of the template...

What a shame as I have always done well with sponsor upsells from their traffic.

Yet another way the industry forces webmasters to adapt and grow or get buried along the way.

Stopped building them a long time ago and also stopped accepting them some time ago.

Dead no more cease to exist just completely dead time to give up the ghost turn off the life support it's just dead!

Sad AVS is dead

Oneverify is going as well they are closed for new site submissions.
I saw someone from sexkey post on GFY yesterday saying they had server issues.
http://www.sexkey.com doesn´t work for me but http://stats.sexkey.com/ does.

SexKey is still around and they wont be going anywhere... The server has been up and down the past week because they were getting DoS attacked. Works fine now though.

I still make good money via AVS, but mostly by selling memberships not by up sells. A couple of years ago I tried the "submit to as many AVS sites as possible, and try to up sell on existing member's traffic" route, and found that this was too much work for too little money.
