I'm started to worry about using GoDaddy! Should I be worried? I've got over 50 domains registered with them but hosting elsewhere. Is it time to worry? Even if I'm hosted elsewhere? I've used them about 2 years now.

RE: "Most times with hosting, you do get what you pay for." I disagree. Although the worst I host I have ever used was the cheapest, the second worst was the most expensive. And none of the hosts I have had that were in the top 25% price wise are as good as the main one I use now, which is in the mid range price.
However to put the cat amongst the pigeons: The way to get the best host is to look outside the USA. None of the American hosts I have used were as good as the best European ones, regardless of price. |

RE "Hosting and registrar have nothing to do with one another unless you register through your host." GoDaddy do both domain registration and hosting (most registers do hosting as well).
GenXer - Yes I would worry. It does not matter who your host is, if the domain goes tits-up the DNS servers will not send the traffic to that host. |

WHO IS FONZY!?! Don't they teach you anything at school?
|
It seems everytime I go to my account at godaddy I can not get in. There is always a problem with loging into my account and it takes an act of gawd to get any help.
I don't have that many domain names yet and it may be a good idea to transfer them when they are about to expire. Can anyone tell me of a good reputable registrar? and how much crap should I expect to recieve from godaddy to have another registrar move my domains? |
