Looking for mainstream directory sites
My gf is making a mainstream review site for local restaurants, and I have no experience with mainstream. Anyone have a list of resources for directories, etc where she can trade links and the like? Don't know where to start.

This site used to be (around a year ago) a good place to start - this page has a downloadable excel file with free directory submissions included:

Here is an excel sheet of some mainstream directories. If you have a few extra bucks you can use their submission service http://www.directorymaximizer.com/ I've used them and they get the job done. This excel sheet is from that site

also check digitalpoint forums, there are many people who offer mass submission to mainstream dirs.
