Earlier today I posted a thread in which I took great pains to point out that what I was talking about was not AEBN'S fault. This one is the opposite, it very much is AEBN's fault!

A few years ago I started using AEBN's VOD Search Widget to promote bondage sites. I noticed that the code their site created did not include my ref code. Fair enough, a mistake had been made. I emailed them , they apologised and fixed it. These things happen, mistakes occur, code gets corrupted, etc. They fixed it, no harm no foul.

While I was looking at my statistics it crossed my mind that I had a lesbian page that could benefit from a VOD Search Widget, so I went to that page and created one. Guess what - no ref code!

Now they were told of this problem years ago. They fixed the page that the complaining webmaster would check up on, but they left the other pages as they were - LEAVING OUT THE REF CODE OF THE AFFILIATE. Since they they have known about this problem for years, they can no longer claim "mistake"

And another point to note. They do not include hits to your custom theatres in most of their traffic stats (for no good reason). And , if you want to upload your own banner to a VOD Search Widget, you MUST use your custom theatre. In other words: as well as giving you website code for your search widget that does not include your ref code, they also set their system so that you will probably set it up so that THERE IS NO WAY FOR YOU TO CHECK YOUR TRAFFIC STATS FROM THAT WIDGET. (Remember I said that AEBN had fixed it so that it was impossible to track traffic from your custom theatre "for no good reason"? Well, I think I just found the reason!)

I am posting this for two reasons:

1) If you have the AEBN VOD Search Widget you need to check to see if it is one that holds your ref code, or not (and you should probably check ALL other AEBN widgets and site generated links too).

2) I know AEBN staff lurk here, so I'm inviting them to reply and explain why the fuck they think they are justifiable in running the most blatantly dishonest policy since that WM boasted about ripping off affiliates with the line ""They are all stupid, so fuck them." You think we are stupid too? And fair game to steal from?????

Unbelievable! I just looked at their bondage VOD Search Widget, the one they fixed after I complained. It appears that as soon as I had checked it they "un-fixed" it again, and set it to leave out the ref code. How cheeky is that!

I don't like their stats set out. AEBN is very slow to load on my wanked out internet speed and takes ages to go through the stats, so I rarely look at them. Today I persevered, and for the first time I found my theatre manager stats, under activity by sales tools.

I have mentioned this before but I will say it here again. I noticed that in promoting their Real Touch that on that page they have a link to realtouchinteractive(.)com where you can learn more and see models. If customer clicks link to purchase on that page my affiliate code is overwritten with their AEBN-000001 code.

Fortunately I just saw this: Please be informed that we will no longer be able to sell RealTouch Devices as of January 1, 2014.
