Here we have a guy called St Nicolas coming with presents for the kids on December 6. Kind of our version of Santa Claus I think, he also has a white beard and red clothes and kids really believe he climbs down the chimney at night.
He always has his black helpers with him. Here's a pic of St. Nicolas

After that our Christmas season starts...

I LOVED that tradition. When I was living in Germany we would put our shoes outside on Dec 6th for St. Nick, if you were bad you were given a lump of coal or sticks & if you were good you were given presents.
