Prevent losing PR to sponsor links / banners?

Hi,

I am considering using the <a rel="nofollow"> attribute on my sponsor banners. This would prevent leaking pr and thus strengthen the PR passed to other internal pages.

I am wondering if this practice would be acceptable to both link lists and the sponsor?

I am only talking about using it for the sponsor and would never use it on recips.
