GG: I am buying a new car.. and I have asked for a GPS to come with the car but it seems most dealerships here dont offer it unless it is in their high end very very expensive cars - guess Canada is behind in the car technology department.

Surfin: I just figured it would come in handy if I went travelling and was walking about in the city.. can carry it with me while being a tourist on foot

I'd certainly not take my car into NY - would use public transportation there! The few I did look at worked on battery also
