Gallery submissions no sales HELP!

I have attempted several times, between college and work, to start to make some extra income in gallery submissions. I have used advanced submittor to submit galleries to 70-80 sites one gallery a day... and never a sale. That was a while ago... and I had stopped pursuit since it didn't produce any sales. I am at a time now when I really need more income... so I am desperately trying to break into the business. I have a few questions about the gallery submitting side of things.

First, how many galleries a day and to how many sites should a person expect to submit to with the hopes of at least one sale a week?

Second, how do you get a lot of the sites that you submit to to accept your galleries?

Thanks a lot in advance for reading this and whatnot... if it would help if I show samples of my galleries I can.
