How can I improve this free site?

Ok... I am somewhat confused.

So I should just use all text links, and make sure they know they are going to a paysite to buy a membership for a certain price?

So atleast, if i get a click through, atleast the free loader knows where he is going?

I guess I have heard more than one approach, and that may be where I may be confused. Do we build free sites, for freeloading surfers, or to make sales?

Thanks, and please know that I really appreciate any and all information, as I would like to learn how to make a living at this.
