That really is more common than you would think. I was in many sewers as a plumber. And never would I go in without a fresh air machine. I was almost fired once because I wouldn't do it.
The next time you see people in a sewer, look at the yellow 10" hose stuck in the hole. That's the fresh air machine
It's illegal in all states to go into a sewer without one. I didn't read the story but I would imagine the company doing the work and the casino will get huge fines from OSHA.
