The lead had to be added to be leaded. And yet, unleaded was more expensive.

Diesel is much more harmful for the environment, maybe some extra taxes on it... As far as I know in Japan they dont even allow to run diesel powered cars. They only allow to fuel trucks/bigger machines with it.
