Indeed. This is the first time I've ever heard of pottery barn. When I first read it, I thought it was a generic term used for pottery that was made in a barn! 
That said, like others have said... you do have a responsibility to at least check the code you are putting on your site.

That said, I'm not sure how they expect non-Americans to know that this was a brand name. In that case, I think a good lawyer may have a chance at fighting this off.
