With the shift of the exchange rate between the US and Canadian dollars, Vancouver has actually become a fairly expensive place to do business. Net in US dollars you are looking at a shift of about 25% in the last 18 months. That is a serious run-up.

I think that many of the people who migrated north to produce content more cheaply and to live better are seeing that it isn't working out right now.
