My tip is to use "Feed Burner" to automate adding these feeds to your meta. They have several different options to choose from (whether you want to enable smart browser or convert your atom feeds to RSS, etc)
And they output the feeds to be burned for Yahoo, MSN, News Gator and just a generic orange XML chicklet.  http://www.feedburner.com
