Link List Recips - It has begun

Meat...think you may be making things harder on yourself than really necessary.

Out of curiousity, I just scanned back through the recips of the sites I submit to. Of the 50 sites on my list, there are 2 that previously had 3 links in their recips. Both of those lists have said that they're going to revise to 2.

Keep in mind that I've been using custom all text recips for some time now. Of the sites on your list that actually have more than 2 in their current recips, I've been submitting with a link to their index and a link to the category...that's it. And have never had a problem getting listed.

Part of that may be because they know me and know my sites. But, I really think it's more that a lot of folks make a bit too much of trying to use the exact recip of each link site. I honestly don't think very many link sites are quite that anal about seeing their recips exactly as listed. As long as you link to the index and the category...and use proper anchor text...you should be fine

IF it does become an issue, contact the webmaster and explain what's going on. You'd probably be pleasantly surprised to find most link list owners are quite reasonable
