 If it happens again, try some liquid soap on the 'affected areas' and keep rinsing it off and squeezing new soap liquid onto the area. The oil based chilli burning isn't much affected by just water. And yeah, that Tiger Balm stuff is also oil-based, and can be pretty nasty too.
