2 Links or 1?

I'd count those as three links. I've been being a total bitch about this 3 links rule lately. Why? Because it seems like if I give an inch on this, the next site will have even more links and then when I reject it, I get argued with. I'm getting SICK of being argued with for rejecting sites (can you tell?) to my own link lists!

If I wanted that layout, I'd probably choose to link the banner and not the text. Just a personal preference I guess.

I'm leaning towards this way, too. It's one of those things that makes me stop and look at a site more closely, and could weigh in on the decline side depending on how the rest of the site is. If it's just one instance where you're trying to achieve a certain look, I can accept that. But if it's starting to look like there's 6 links out on every page...

Maybe if there was less whitespace between the text & the banner - put it in a table & right align the text, for instance. That would bring it closer to one link in my eyes, even with 2 hrefs.
