Mean people suck, nice people swallow, are you mean or nice?

Thanks for the clarification. I always considered both examples to be ONE outgoing link but I had a link list reject several sites for having too many outgoing links. I thought about not linking the text, or just making "Coeds Need Cash.com" a link in the text. That's really what got me in trouble in the first place. I had a block of text with a link in it to the sponsor and a banner next to it also linked and it was counted as two links. (Two actual things to click) I was going to argue the point but as ladydesigner said, what webmaster wants to argue when it's their link list so I didn't even try. I guess I'll make Coeds Need Cash.com a link in the text and see who rejects it...then take them off my submit list.

Maybe I'm too plugged in, but it's easier for me to quickly skim over the source code than it is to hunt for links on a page with my pointer...
![]() I don't mean to be a hardass. I'm just of the same mind as ponygirl and ladydesigner, and I don't like having to think too hard. ![]()

I agree with the "clickable area" approach when I'm wearing my reviewr's hat. I don't have the time to scrutinize the code (unless something makes me suspicious of foul play).
However, when I'm wearing my builder's/submitter's hat I'm careful not to have more than 3 href tags/page. Why risk a rejection? I doubt that extra block of linked text will bring in more sales anyway.
