When I launch a new site, I give it 2 links from an existing one straight away (so it has two inward and zero out). Then I leave it a couple of weeks before looking for 2-3 recips a week for about a month. By now I usually have around 10 outward links and 12 inward, I then list it for $20 or so on Best Of The Web so it has another inward link which is not a reciprocal. All my links inward are of the actual site title, so if it is called xzydating4u.com then I go for links to xyzdating4u.com.

It is at this stage I move on and totally forget about the new site for 5-6 months. When Google updates during this time I usually find the new site comes in with around a PR3-4. This is when I then go for ABC link trades with my other sites but I get people to link to my now 6 month old site using keyword text and I alway have a minimum of two phrases. It might be 'Adult Personals' and 'Sex Dates' then I might add a third 'Adult Sex' mixing a word from each.

It seems to work for me, maybe I am just lucky who knows but looking at just my search engine traffic Google 90% Yahoo 8% rest 2%
