Gallery advice, please

I haven't ventured into the gallery building direction before now, so I would like some advice before jumping in and possibly wasting my time.

Are these acceptable? Would you list them? (If not, why not?)

Gallery 2 is the best layout I think. Gallery 4 isn't bad neither. Gallery 1 is ok but a nicer header would make it look much better.
Drop ANY links back to you own site, Porn Gallery Links.
Do NOT link the header.
Limit the links to the sponsor to 2-3.
Limit the image size to 800 or 1024, not 1400 like gallery 3 is.
Gallery 3 is ok too but no header hurts it. And the 2257 link should be much farther down.

When you say "Drop ANY links back to you own site", does that include the (sometimes) required 2257 link?

Keep the 2257 link as enough tgps require it's inclusion...Just don't link back to your hub/tgp/LL, etc as that would be considered a traffic leak and depending on the owner will get your gallery deleted or in the worst case get you blacklisted.

As for the galleries...they're all okay. The third gallery if it had a header would be the best of the group. That gallery you did the thumbs the best and that makes it slightly better than the second. The second gallery is okay, but the thumbs are very slightly blurred and you didn't crop them effectively. In a thumbnail do you need to see she's standing in front of a leather couch? Nah, lol, so try and focus on what would get a surfer to click around. I mean the thumbs on gallery 2 are okay, but they could be better.

There are a couple mentions of headers, if you are using sponsor content, is it Ok to use sponsor supplied headers, or is that problematic because hosted galleries could also have those same headers?

OK, all advice has been absorbed and I've re-worked 2 of the galleries.
Both have had links to my site removed and a header included.

The second one has had the main pics reduced in size (as per Ramster's advice)
I can redo the thumbs on gallery 1 if it is deemed necessary (as per Mr Blue's advice on another gallery).

Following on from Precher's question.
Is it generally acceptable to use sponsor logos, designs, colours, etc as a starting basis for galleries (and freesites for that matter), or is it best to ask first?

Personally I avoid using sponsor graphics period. If a sponsor is offering headers, footers, and even banners (unless they're geo-targeted type banners), I avoid them like the plague. To each his own though.

You have to think about how many people are submitting galleries, how many times a reviewer is going to see the same type gallery, the same graphics, etc. Even small tgps are getting around 1k-2k in submits per day...they're reviewing those galleries quickly...if things start looking repetitive it's a pretty good chance your gallery won't get listed.

Headers don't have to be complex though...5 minutes in photoshop and you can create a text header (3-d, drop shadow, etc) type graphic that would serve well as a header.
