The place where the story broke - GRAFENWOHR, Germany - is a long way from a war zone - and most Soldiers and Airmen have their families with them there. Grafenwohr is a small town in North-Easter Bavaria not far from the Czech Republic where we (the Americans) have a large gunnery range for tanks and artillery. Very much like what we have here in Colorado Springs at Fort Carson.
