I spoke to Mark off the boards and I did apologize for wanting to shut down the whole issue if they were WMs that didn't promote us.

That was a little harsh on my part and shouldn't have been said. I've worked with people who don't promote us and sometimes for good reason. I should have opened it up to more suggestions rather than shutting it down. If WMs don't promote us for a reason and I should have been more open to hearing what we could to prevent this or other WMs not wanting to promote us. As for the OnDemand links and shit. Yes, that was not included in the email and i apologize. this was done as the transitioned happened and there was a lack of communication on TB's side. as for the other newsletter getting sent out, we thought it did. I guess not and that's a separate issue we need to deal with here.

I'm not evil, incompetent and I do care what the WMs think, so my apologies on that end. I hope this can be the end of it ...

Most of the newsletters I get focus on the latest galleries. They rarely ever use the time and energy to tell us of changes that are being made. WE know there are websites that are not cutting it and are shutting down, especially in this economy. WE know you need to find other ways to make money. Don't you think we do the same thing with our own empires?

At times like this, the ethical companies are going to come out on top. Sure, get rid of the sites that don't work for you -- JUST TELL US IN ADVANCE!! Go ahead, sell space on exit consoles. Glad you were honest enough to ask in public for advertisers. I have always been no console, and do a blend of revshare and PPS. I love having sponsors that offer the choices. Let ME choose how best to promote you. Let ME choose between consoles or not, revshare or PPS, cross sales or not.

What I ask of you is to treat us with respect - communicate not just galleries but program changes. Keep your sites fresh and highly desireable for the visitors, and don't resort to tricks on anyone. It might bring you a momentary quick buck, but those visitors you tricked are not going to renew or ever visit one of your sites again. Then who wins?

wow! I signed up with TB this past week...man am I scared now...what the heck am I (a new wm starting out) supposed to do after reading something like this?

Topbucks is a first class sponsor -- they have been in a bit of a slump lately, but they are really a 1st class company in every way. They really do care about teir webmasters.

Same as me perhaps and move on to other sponsors

Too bad though as there are several well converting sites there still, but when top bucks decides it's in their interest to also redirect those links for their own profit and steal from their affiliates (there I said it ) what good are they...better off not promoting them at all, saves a lot of future link changes not to mention months if not years you are re-directed until you chance on figuring out they are ripping you off...thank you Greenie
