First, Happy Birthday month to ecchi.

We had 60+ mph winds back on Sunday during our family get together. Thankfully I went to backyard to check on something and notice our 100+ yr old tree had drooping branches and was hearing cracking. This area hangs over neighbors driveway and their new cars. Suggested they should move them and thankfully they did. By morning we had two branches busted. One small that came off and another large still hanging on tree. If one of their cars was still there it would of caused some damage. Couple of trees in our neighborhood fell crushing two cars. I had to spend all Monday morning trying to break off the big branch as I could not get anyone out to cut it down (30 feet up at break) because of emergencies around LA. By the time I got it to break off with help of neighbor and then helped him take down a couple of his branches my back and shoulder were fucked and still in pain today. Oh the joy!

Anyhoo, going to do some work while I can at my desk before spending the rest of it on the couch or in bed with ice and heat.

This is true but they just bought their suv 3 weeks ago plus who wants to go thru all that insurance crap if you don't have to.

I saw that, too, while watching.......THE X-FILES!!!

I have to admit, I almost gave up after Episode 2, but I'm glad I didn't because 3 was GREAT! And not "great" in what I assume is the X Files way, but it was funny & clever & Duchovny seemed more like Hank Moody than Fox Mulder

What confuses me is why have a "6-Episode Event" if it's not a 6 episode storyline?? I did like where they were going in the 1st one & while 2 sorta carried the thread, it was thin.

But I'll watch 4 I guess

I'll agree it had more Californication (which I loved) in it but the old x-files had some of those too.

As for the 6 episode, from what I understand, the first and sixth one are mythology while the four in the middle are monsters. I sorta like only doing 6 shows, BBC does this a lot, to create a demand for more plus you can produce better ones without jumping the alien sorta speak.

Actually, the BBC makes 6 episode seasons because they don't have the funds to do more! (Sometimes they even do 4 episode seasons!)

The BBC is also famous for six episode story lines, which are really four episode story lines stretched out to 6, so that they get more episodes for the same money. If you have looked into "classic era" Dr Who you will have heard mention "the curse of the fifth episode". What this means is they don't really have enough story for six episodes, so episodes one to four are the main story, episode six is the ending, where the Doctor saves the day, and episode five is mostly the Doctor and his assistant being chased down corridors, trying to stretch out an extra episode with no plot, and no money left in the kitty.

This may be true but I find the quality put into them is better than a lot of shows the US does because they try to make 16 to 22 episodes for the year. That is what I was trying to get across and quite frankly I prefer it.
