Sunny day today for a change. Cold as hell, but sunny.

At last found my NeNo, which, in Britain, is basically your government issued identity number, you need it if you apply for work, etc. I'd lost the card with my NeNo on it, in the robbery (taken for identity theft, I guess) and was having a hell of a job proving I exist! Caught in a Kafkaesque reality where I would be talking to a government official, sitting in front of them on the other side of their desk, and they are talking to me, but refusing to accept that I actually exist. And apparently, if you loose it, it is impossible to replace - you just cease to exist in the government's eyes.

But today I found an old letter from the DSS which had my NeNo as a reference number. So hurrah, I exist again.
