Judge Orders YouTube to Give All User Histories to Viacom
I'm in Canada, and giving my info to some US company can open a whole can of whoop-ass with our privacy laws.
 Taking into account the $750 fines/view for copyright infringement there could be huge money here. 4tB logfiles @ .25kB per log entry Google will have to turn over every record of every video watched by YouTube users, including users' names and IP addresses, to Viacom, which is suing Google for allowing clips of its copyright videos to appear on YouTube, a judge ruled Wednesday. http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/200...orders-yo.html |
