Not ever being a dmoz editor myself, I have no idea what the rules are. But, do they just expect you to do the reviews for nothing? Why would anyone do that?

Anyway, we were all young in this business once. For me, it was a few years before Greenie but, nobody knew what was right and what was wrong. I remember during the YNOT heyday when there were actual members that ran it. As members, we prided ourselves on being just a little more honest than most. We decided that the members would no longer use stolen content. During the next couple of weeks, we lost some members that didn't want to spend the money. We actually didn't think we were stealing it. We just assumed once it was on the web, it was for anyone to use. Hell, I even joined a paysite so I could have a steady flow of free content

In the beginning, this business was like the wild west. There were no laws that we knew of and people did what they had to do to make money.
