Exclamation Hustler, Vivid and Wicked license with Acacia - hot off the press!

http://www.acaciaresearch.com/news_main.htm

top link
they've licensed the big boys

Isn't it interesting that they bring them in with 'probable' sweetheart deals?

I see two main purposes for this:

1. Smaller paysite owners see the big names have licensed and might feel they don't stand a chance and follow suit (seeing as how the big guys have more $$ for lawsuits)
2. Have you been following the stock prices on Acacia??

very interesting indeed

This will go to court, those standing against it at www.impai.org will not allow it not to. Then it will be decided if the patents are valid.

If Acacia win these people who signed up will have the license and "Probably" the control over how many licenses are issued.

If Acacia lose they will be villified as the ones joined the enemy.

We have to win this fight and win it well, there are other video streaming patent holders out there waiting to apply for their slice of the cake if we lose.

For the sake of clarity...

IMPA is not going to court with anyone; the IMPA is merely a watchdog and research group that is scanning the horizon for more of these issues that impact our industry.

The Joint Defense Group is comprised of the companies that are actually going to court with Acacia. The IMPA is limited by what it can do for them.

We are undeterred in our efforts. We still look forward to our day in court.
