To get it up and going you need some traffic to start with!
If you can send it from one of your own sites, or have some decent 404-traffic, that'll be probably the go!

With purchased traffic I had not such good experience, even on a CJ site with only 25% skim: my traffic (and outgoing clicks!) went up as the traffic was coming in, once it stopped the slump was so sudden that all trades needed 4-5 days to recover...

People bookmark a lot more if you don't skim (as I do on my second site)!
Trades won't start either if you're only relying on skimming - you need some traffic to get started
People won't return if you skim 50%, or even only 40%...
If your ratio is ~75% to galleries, and the galleries are good, people are coming back...

You can still use the trade script TM3 to manage in-and-outgoing links and your toplist.
