Happy Early Thanksgiving

Since tomorrow is Columbus Day in the great US of A and I take any chance I can to take the day off, I wanted to wish all my Canadian friends a very Happy Thankgiving

Do you guys have Turkey for Thanksgiving dinner or is that just a US thing?

I'm amazed by how much I don't know about other countries. What is it that Canada is giving thanks to? Americans Thanksgiving is the coming together of the English no longer being persecuted for their religious beliefs living here coming together Native Americans and feasting on Turkey and corn...or as I like to call is Maze

Happy Thanksgiving! We're having 12 for dinner here today. And yes, we always have turkey on Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving in Canada represents a celebration of the end of harvest. The growing season ends a lot sooner here than it does south of the border (except for the mid-northern states, whom we share our Artic air with ), so in early - mid October we have always had a 'thanksgiving' for the bountiful harvest.

This was something that was picked up from the Natives by the early settlers and continues today as an excuse for a long holiday weekend .. LOL. The Natives still celebrate a Pow-Wow on this weekend. There's a big one here put on by the Ojibways every year out near the Casino.

Anyway, I better get off this damn machine and go help the wife or I'll be in trouble.

Happy Columbus Day to all our American friends. Have a good one!

Man now I'm craving for turkey...
Thanksgiving is definitely on of my favorite holidays. There is nothing better than lounging around all weekend stuffing your face with turkey, drinking beer and watching football.

Even though this post is a little late I'm sure you guys are still having a turkey sandwich or two...

So Happy Thanksgiving Canadian !!!
