Baseball is the next sport that will suffer greatly because of ignorant large market teams trying to buy wins. The price of some of these players is already nuts, and over time it is just not going to work out.

The NHL desperately needs a salary cap so that they can control costs and keep the ticket prices in the "reasonable" range. The canadian teams are happier now that the exchange rate is better (because they sell tickets in $CDN and pay salaries in $US). But that doesn't completely solve the issue of having a calgary compete with a NY rangers.

The whole thing could fall on their heads.

Minor League baseball...I ended up not watching the majors anymore and just concentrate on a minor league ball team that plays near me (Go Ducks). It's kinda nice to see people playing just because they love the game...as most will never make the majors.
