I just started using Trillian and I think it's a very good program.
I know you may not be looking for a different one but thought I would let you know just in case your interested. You can use ICQ, MSN, AIM and Yahoo all with the same program. Kind of good for webmasters that might want to talk to someone that has a different program than the one you do, without having to have so many different programs. Personally I'm really happy with it so far, only had it a few days now but my cousin has been using it for a while and he really likes it as well. You can also use IRC on it as well but I haven't used it for that yet. You can download it at www.download.com if you want to give it a try, just search for trillian. Don't think that would be a problem, had my list for MSN on there as well. If it didn't add them I think you should still have them on your old ICQ list but as I said don't think that would be a problem because it added everything for me. It's not really like a new chat program it lets you put in your info from you old chat programs and should add all your list of contacts from ICQ and any other program that you add to it, like MSN or AIM....etc |

Also you should be able to keep your regular ICQ program as well.
I still have my ICQ and can run it instead of Trillian if I want to, so you should still have your regular ICQ program on there as well. If you ever wont to get rid of Trillian you shouldn't have to worry about that either since you would still have your regular ICQ program on your comp. I think everything is still runned under ICQ, they just have a little different looking chat program as well as options to run more than just one chat program at a time on the same program. Also if you want you can resize the chat window and I think it looks alot better when made a little bigger. So if you try it I hope you like it, and I don't think you will have any problems with your contact list. |
