Using the word dogging

Can we get a Brit to give us a yea or nay on whether dogging is real or not? Sounds pretty damn hokey to me. Public sex is rare, but strangers joining in to public sex is just nuts, not to mention unhygienic.

I saw a documentary advertised about dogging on satellite TV, and although I didn't watch it... I believe it's very popular in Britain.

Since I know about your little affinity with Germany you're probably interested to know that this is rather huge in Germany - for years! There are dozens of websites and boards dedicated to 'anonymous parking lot sex', which usually happens on rest stops along the German autobahn... Last time I was over there I just drove into one to visit the restroom and found myself in the middle of such a meeting (5-6 people).
My only concern: what's if kids, you're travelling with, really have to go to the toilet, and you don't want to expose them to such activities?
