Once again, a procedure I put into place 4 or 5 years ago gets called out

Long story shot - sending "accepted" emails means you also have to send "rejected" emails & the time it was taking me to sort thru all the replies to these was put to better use by having a board where people could come & ask (and the "noreply" email addy doesn't because then you get people that reply even when it says "DON'T REPLY" & they get pissed because you didn't reply back to them)

Build sites that fit the rules & you'll get listed.

Not sure? Look in your stats. Look on my "newsites" page 2 days after you submitted. Not listed? Come here & post. It's very simple

I really love that all these rules & procedures that I put in place over the last 8 years or so are thought of as a clever way for me to get more recips or free traffic. Believe me, I'm not that bright

Bottom line is it's more time efficient for me to do it on the board & I have no plans of changing around my set up because some people don't like it. Don't like the rules, don't submit - it's just that simple.

Not just yours, everyone who adopts this policy. Just yours is one of the bigger sites I was asking about. You always think I'm personally attacking you, but I'm really not. .. Anymore.

1) I don't care about "accepted". I care about "rejected". It's not nice to ignore people who are doing something for you and you're not planning to reciprocate.

2) This board hasn't been here 5 years. Where did they go before that? (I don't really need an answer).

3) Excuse. TELL THEM not to reply, that you won't answer. If they do, tuff. Believe me, I'm one person who understands workload.

One point here, I'm not asking you to change your policy. When people ask me to change mine, I tell them to fuck off.

Was that a rule? "Rule 1, I won't mail you other than the first one with my sponsor links and links to things that I think are cool in it".
(I don't know if you actually do that, I never checked. Other linklists damned sure want you to see their sponsors, fuck all listings and rejection mails).

1.) I'm sure traffic isn't considered reciprocating, being that, your site may send back 8 hits in a year.

1.) No spiders? Nothing? Well then. How many sites out there link to you and have never been listed .. or have been dropped ? Oh, wait... that would be everything that wasn't added within the last 6 months + a few hundred thousand. I see. Nevermind. Those "8 hits" kinda add up over time huh?

By the way, by reciprocating I also meant including at least having the courtesy to click the link ..
