I AM A SIGWHORE! But not here. In fact, I own gfysigwhore.com lol

I have to agree with you on some points;

Sigwhores suck ass. Sigwhores get paid for quantity, not quality. We have to make massive amounts of posts in order to generate a significant income; unless you're Samuel Clemens it's almost impossibel to make 1000-3000 posts per month and still seem like an intelligent human being.

I try to be entertaining, but income has to come first. I am very grateful to TCG for the opportunity they've given me (again, they don't pay me for posting here, all I get is the refcode in my sig). The extra income is helping me and my family through a very rough time.

Still, I'm making a real effort to generate enough income from my webmastering that I'll no longer have to whore fulltime.

Is it bad for the boards? I don't think it's BAD, if it's limited. Uncontrolled whoring can be an ugly thing. It may have SOME positive impact if it's not overdone.

Is it good for the sponsors? It must be, they keep paying.

But still... when I need REAL information I come to greenguysboard.com! Which reminds me, I came here to ask about promoting Indian sites. In another thread.

I don't really know a lot about this... but as a person that went looking to hire one, I can guarantee you quantity wasnt what I was looking for... was looking for soemone who was a known regular at a coulple of boards.. that made a useful informative posts.. Imho webmasters make a point of clicking the sigs of interesting people.. to find out more about the person, I do at very least.

(PS.. I didn't want to pay the prices needed to get the spot with either of the 2 suitable people that I did run across btw. 500-600/mth)

If you DO buy a sig, and you want quality, don't pay per post.
