I knew a thread like this would bring out the metal heads.
Lot of hair in that band Fonz  Thats how I ended up on bass as well

Hmmm - started out with violin - classically trained including going to college for a music degree - until I dropped out - picked up piano and all the other orchestral instruments along the way.
Played in bands starting out in 1966 and playing bass and keyboards. Now I stick with my Fender Jazz bass and my Korg Triton for my fun - played a fun jam gig last weekend in a college town doing a lot of Pink Floyd and J Taylor stuff.
