1024x768 Photos - Do Link List like them?
I personally like listing hi-rez photos on TGPs, AENs and free sites. I have notice on my TGPs and AENs sites that my sites get bookmarked more often than it did when I use to compress photos.
Do link list owers prefer hi-rez over compress or vice versa? Is there other criterias that a reviewer looks at when it comes to the size and resolution of photos? take it easy The Senator aka Senator |

I really think they are too big.
That is bigger then what many paysites offer their members. Not good for dialup users. We are suppose to be showing samples of the higher quality pics. |

I agree with Cleo - if you show them too much high quality stuff for free, there's not much of an incentive for them to actually pay for a membership.

Yeah - you can go 500x375 & cut 75% of the pic size off & everyone will still be happy.

1024x768 is to big for sure.
I require at least 600 on the longest side. (one of my picky odd rules) But don't recommend much larger. |

Yeah, what everyone else has said... I prefer the images "web ready" and filesize under 100KB. 1024x768 images etc. will get your site declined almost always.

I wish I had looked at pics before I made my rules - 600x450 is so much better than 500x375 - you wouldn't think the extra 100 would make that big a difference.

No forethought on my part either. I didn't even have a dim rule at first. But some people were submitting tiny pics. So the rule was born.

I'll list sites with 1024x768 pics, but it always surprises me when I see them. It just seems excessive for something you're giving away free. I can understand why some use that size, though. Whenever I buy content, I do a batch resize on all of it - to that size. If I was making free sites, it would require extra work for me to resize it again to a smaller size.

I don't care for them on free sites.
I'll list them if I need to fill a category, but not that often. What's the point of a Free Site??? My pics are generally bit larger than others, but file size is consistent at 40-50k. Pics Under 600 are not ok.

I still have my browser set to 800x600 and pics larger than my window annoy the hell out of me, both as a review and a surfer.
