I think the husband should have just given her back to her parents and none of this would have happened. He went on with his life with a new woman and had two kids. WTF does he care about his real wife.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Just because he went on with his life as he should, no way diminishes the love that he had & still felt for her. I fully expect Torn to have done the same thing it if had happened to me as I would've for him.

In fact the fact that he turned down money and went did what she wanted was the sign that he truely loved her & wanted to fulfill her wishes.

Agreed, the fact that he is being demonized by the far right zealots for doing what he believes is right make him a very sympathic character to me as well. He loved terry, that is obvious.
