I'm not sure if it is a good thing. I don't see Freehand and DreamWeaver living on.
Maybe the interface on Flash will improve. Macromedia was finally starting to do better interfaces and then Adobe sued them and they had to make them even worse. I just hope that they don't put Flash into Photoshop. |

Yeah, I don't really think it's a good thing. Macromedia vs. Adobe was the only semblance of real competition in the graphics software arena. Creating a monopoly is just going to create less innovative, overpriced and buggy software.
If I were to put down money... - Freehand & Fireworks will die in favor of Illustrator and PS/ImageReady - Coldfusion will be spun off or die. Nobody cares - Flash will improve somehow.. better integration with PSDs and AIs, etc. - Fight bewteen GoLive and Dreamweaver. I'd like to see Adobe work it's magic on Dreamweaver and optimize it.. but DW will probably die within 2 years... sadly.
