I hear you on that! We contracted with one company who seemed reputable and turns out they couldn't understand how a simple adult script worked. Couldn't do the work..overcharged us and then claimed it was all our fault LOL.
The really funny thing is that this same company hits up up occasionally when we have work for programmers and we post on the boards. We not so gently remind them that "we" are the people they ripped off and that it will be a cold day in hell before we let them near any of our projects again.
