3 links per page rule??

So is this rule generaly subjective to the reviewer and not scruttenized by a script that can't tell the difference between a banner with a text link to the same site just below it.

I like to add a text link just bellow my banner links to make it more effective but if this is counting as two links it makes it difficult to strategically place 3 links over the page.

As said before in this thread you can put the banner + text link within the same A HREF tag. Problem solved...

"Clickable area" would probably be a good way to count links. I've never been turned down for using a sliced HPA with as many as 9 separate a tags.

On the other hand I have been rejected for a stray a tag that got lost when I was shuffling things around in WYSIWYG mode and wasn't even visible on the page, so I guess you'll always be at the mercy of the particular reviewer.
